The Institute can be interacted with in a number of ways, and your input will determine the future of nature Augmentiforms that we develop and release.

When you enter the virtual world, you will find yourself in the “selection void” your interaction is mediated via your mouse, you can rotate freely, and holding down your mouse button will move you forward. Please remember that the void is vast and patience may be required to traverse it.

Approaching elementary solids in the void will activate them, and they will shortly be teleported to the “crucible of life.” You can view their activities here by clicking the double arrow icon. In the crucible, the elementary solids will follow their own internal logic to try and form bonds between each other. You can watch as they try and successfully build themselves into a unique Augmentiform.

When finally a group of elementary solids have combined into a viable Augmentiform, they will be transported to the physical world and can be followed through the streets of Istanbul, using the “afTracker” iPhone application. If you spend time watching and following them you will give them the strength they need to flourish. You will also notice that they will follow routes through the streets, aiming to find a final home suited to their own needs.

The local weather conditions can also be observed to have an effect upon their ability to thrive. Please remember to act with intent and foresight at all times when interacting with The Institute, and as always, The Institute thanks you for your interest and participation in the development and release of future Augmentifom.

 

Although it is only in the early days of its research and development, the “Institute for Augmentiform Development and Release” is striving to create an environment in which Augmentiform can thrive and prosper. We believe that Plato’s understanding of cosmology has been dismissed and derided for far too long. Although we can quite well understand that it is certainly not the basis of our own physical world, the fact that it had been so carefully described and outlined means that by its very own nature it exists through narrative extrapolation. We at the Institute are working with what data we have to breach the frontier between data realities and our own limited perceptions. We welcome you as both observer and collaborator on this mission.
